Healthy Thanksgiving Cornbread⁠

Here's another easy & healthy Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving recipe 😋 This fluffy cornbread is the PERFECT side dish for dinner 🤩 Texture is on point as well as the flavor 👌🏼 Never been a huge fan of cornbread 🙊 But I gotta say, I could eat this everyday! It tastes the BEST slightly warmed with some @earthbalance vegan butter already on top 🤤⁠

Healthy Thanksgiving Cornbread⁠⁠⁠

🔪 Prep Time: 15 minutes

🍳Cook Time: 20 minutes

🕒Total Time: 35 minutes

🍴Serving Size: 16 Squares


Dry Ingredients -⁠

  • 1 1/4 cup Ground Corn Meal (@wholefoods)⁠

  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour (@bobsredmill)⁠

  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda⁠

  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder⁠

  • Pinch of Salt⁠

Wet Ingredients -⁠


  1. Preheat oven time 350°.⁠

  2. Start off by sifting all of your dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix evenly together.⁠

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add in your oil, vanilla & egg. Whisk well together. Then mix in your yogurt & honey.⁠

  4. Then, slowly add in 1/3 of your mixed dry ingredients & incorporate together. Add in half of your milk. Whisk together. Add in another third of your flour mixture, whisk, & then the remaining milk & whisk. Lastly, whisk in the remaining flour until no lumps are left.⁠

  5. Transfer batter to an 8”x8” parchment lined baking sheet. Spread evenly to all edges. Bake for 18 mins.⁠

  6. Once it’s done baking, let it cool for 15-20 mins before cutting into 2” squares. Add some butter & enjoy!🙌🏼⁠

Notes & Tips:

  • Tastes the BEST slightly warmed with some @earthbalance vegan butter already on top

  • Keeps best in the fridge for up to 5 days.
